Jonathan S. Katz (Lord Galcian II)
Chief VLoG Administrator/Site Founder
Jonathan S. Katz

The idea of creating a website dedicated to Grandia was a collaborative idea between Jonathan and Orphen, but Jonathan whole-heartedly volunteered to lead the project. When VLoG first started out on May 5th, 2002, Jonathan knew almost nothing about making websites (Except that they needed HTML). However, under the guidance of Ian, Jonathan learned how to create simple webpages, and gradually, together they became able to build complex webpages with dynamic scripting, databases, and whatever else is needed! Jonathan handles the administrative responsibilities of VLoG as well as a most of the coding responsibilities. Currently, Jonathan is a computer science and math major at Tufts University, and likes to undertake various computer projects, whether it be administrating a server, to maintaing several websites, to his current independent research project at Tufts.

Jonathan is also visible in other projects around the web, including helping out at ticalc.org and administrating the website for the Young Entrepreneurs at Tufts. His computer science background includes working with C/C++, Perl, PHP, both mySQL and postgreSQL databases, as well as working with the message-passing interface (MPI) standard with C for his parallel cluster that he created and formerly maintained. Jonathan's current independent research at Tufts deals with an Internet-related machine learning problem.

Orphen (Orphen)
Content Administrator/Deputy VLoG Administrator
Orphen

Orphen is the reason why VLoG exists today. It was his idea to create a website based on the Grandia series, and being the resident Grandia scholar, he put together all the content for the website. Without Orphen, VLoG would be nothing more than a web engine that Jonathan and Ian made with phrases like "moo" and "PH33R" littered throughout the website. Orphen has done a great job researching all the data, putting it all together, and making sure that all the content on the website is in proper order. He has always been one of the biggest contributers to VLoG, and his services should not go unnoticed!

Richard Davies (Mr Fwibbles)
Content Administrator/Deputy VLoG Administrator
Richard Davies

Very few people, if anyone in the world, know as much about Grandia: Parallel Trippers as Richard does. He has compiled several databases of information about all aspects of the game, and his exhaustive research is exclusively here at VLoG! Asides from his amazing work on compiling information on PT, Richard also likes to chime in and give his viewpoints on all aspects of VLoG, such as what should be added to the website, or perhaps how something should be modified. Richard has played a large role in the overhaul and redesign of VLoG, and without his help, VLoG in this beautiful state would not exist.

Bababaa (Bababaa)
Web Administrator
Bababaa

Bababaa has been a longtime member of VLoG, and played an active role in the direction of VLoG even before he became a team member. His early feats in VLoG came along when he would find security holes in the original forum, especially in the VLoG-Exclusive Battle System (which is now defunct). Currently, Bababaa has helped out with the overhaul of VLoG by helping to convert the data from the original website into its current form. Bababaa continues to help out with maintaining the content of the site, and, of course, looking for whatever security holes may pop up.

Karyn (Karyn)
Forum Director/Board RPG Director
Karyn

Though Karyn was not on the original VLoG Team, she has been involved with VLoG since day one. Karyn would always chime in on things like how to format the website, how something on the forum should be taken care of, or just her overall two cents in discussions on the forums. In addition to her responsiblities on the forum, Karyn is also in charge of developing and overseeing the new board RPG that will be unveiled to the public soon!

JSeabolt (JSeabolt)
Forum Director
JSeabolt

JSeabolt is at the forum so often, perhaps it is his second home. Regardless, he is at VLoG whenever he can spare a minute, checking everything over and making sure that everything is up to par. He is also an active contributor to the community, and doesn't mind helping out the team behind the scenes.

Al Ciccarelli (Chron)
Web Programmer
Chron

Chron is another forum bum, always reading the forum, always writing something in his own unique way. However, Chron does a little bit more than watch over the forums. Chron is the newest member of the Coding Team on VLoG, and is responsible for helping to update the website. So in addition to his activeness in the VLoG community, Chron now plays an active role in getting new content up on VLoG!

Kim (Kim)
Coffee Capers Author
Kim

Kim has been a longtime member of VLoG and a very active member in the community. Kim joined the VLoG Team originally to do small things for the website and help manage the community, but now she is in charge of "Coffee Capers," VLoG's first sub-site and web comic. Coffee Capers started out has one of Kim's web comics that she regularly posted on VLoG, but is now fully syndicated as part of VLoG!

James Tripp (beomouth)
beomouth

As a long time friend of Richard, James has worked with him on previous websites before joining VLoG. James's passion for the growth of VLoG and what it could provide to the Grandia community inspired him to help provide more content for the site, as well as some guidance for the direction of its growth. James was previously employed by SCI, who are now producing games under the name of Eidos, as a Senior QA engineer, then as a TCR technician at Microsoft/VMC's games lab, and also as a SEGA lead tester.

Former Staff

Ian W. Bennett (B'man)
Former Web Administrator
B'man

Ian has been a force in VLoG since the beginning. Not only did he create the original design (which is now retired), he created all the original templates of how the VLoG pages would present data. Three years later, Ian designed his ultimate creation for VLoG - working with Jonathan, he created a very powerful engine for the latest version of VLoG.

Though he has retired, Ian continues to help improve things around the site occassionally, and he can still be seen around the VLoG Community, since he still loves Grandia. Ian currently holds an administrative position at popular Sonic the Hedgehog site The Sonic Stadium.

Icarius (Icarius)
Former Forum Director
Icarius

Icarius was one of the first members to join VLoG once Gamespy was the site's official resting place. Being a very active member of the community and always quick to help out, Icarius quickly ascended the throne to become a moderator at the forums. While the other administrators were busy taking care of other things, Icarius watched over the forums to make sure there were no problems. In addition to managing the community, Icarius always voiced his ideas and opinions about the website and what should or should not happen.

Wing Commander Chen (Wing Commander Chen)
Former Site Advisor
Wing Commander Chen

Wing Commander Chen (WCC) was around VLoG from the very beginning, always willing to lend a helping hand when asked to. Though he was not the most visible member on the team, he assisted Jonathan in many ways, giving him advice on what to do with the website, or just answering any questions that he might have had. Now, WCC comes around VLoG whenever he has a break from his busy schedule, and of course, still likes to hear about the site and advise Jonathan on what to do.
