Wasn't it stopped?
I remember downloading what they had, but the game didn't interest me too much.

It's basically a card battle system mixed with Grandia.

I forget exactly how it goes, but keep on the lookout for combinations, they can REALLY help you out in a tight spot.

The person I purchased it from, had completed the game; so I can travel anywhere i like or re-battle the final boss, it asks you to save after the credits; then you can go anywhere in the game.
I forgot the final line up though.

I used a gameshark code to use Justin/Feena/Rapp/Mullen.

(1st person replace code, 2nd person replace code) with (Charecter Code) etc.

Quite a hackable game. I think I'd enjoy it more if I knew what the charecters were saying.
I wish you could do that in Granda 1 after completing the game, go to anywhere you've been before, revisit any boss.
It'd be kinda cool. "Let's trying pasting Orc King with Liete's level 3 Magic!!!"

Another good idea for after game would be to choose any formation of charecters.
IF there was ever a PS3/Xbox/Wii Remake it would be nice to see PVP (online battle's with peoples hard earned charecter builds ie. Justin/Feena/Rapp/Liete, all level 60)
This would also convince people to spend more time leveling up to beat stronger people online.

Why not make the full Grandia 1 game an online MMO for PS3/Xbox with an Offline story mode parellel to each other?

Because MMO JRPGs are pure crap. Especially in PVP.

Although that's my opinion, it seems to be widely accepted.
The worst part is, if you do that to Grandia you turn one of the most well-balanced games in existence into a mundane grindfest where the only people winning battles have the exact same broken group of characters.
That's a pretty serious offense.

Liete's battle animations don't actually exist in Disc 1 of Grandia.
I know this because I've hacked the save files. A lot.

Pasting Orc King with H&E cut is something I've done.
It's not surprising or entertaining at all. Realize that you can basically OHKO Orc King with a single critical from Sue at a high enough level.

a) I didn't mean a full PVP game, only an arcade 'optional mode'
b) in regards to the MMO idea I have changed my mind, but I'd like to see Grandia have ongoing quests, (I.E Oblivion) but with constant additional quests/storyline additions to the main storyline/quest.*
c) When I said 'go back and hit orc king with liete's magic' I meant with his (Orc King's) status greatly increased to that of say, perhaps Gaia Treants difficulty?
and higher monsters to be even harder such as, Master Chang as hard as Gaia Baal and so on and so on.
d) I've used a simple gameshark code to have Liete on disk one, it is possible without savefile/ rom hacking. Your looking at it the wrong way, and doing it the hard way around.

* = What I mean here is having the storyline constantly expanded, so that the game is ongoing. They might choose to do this via DLC, or simply by updating the game every so often to encourage players to start a new game+ (adding new items and side-quests and bonus dungeons might be another idea) and being able to continue the game after defeating the final boss would probably help this along easier.

Otherwise, I think your points are really bang-on target Chron.
The Gameshark code I metioned was made by a Gameshark Code Creators Club member, if memory serves.

a) Still a horrible idea.
b) You mean... side quests? Those can be nice, but not when the point of the game is narration...
c) So you want to fight the same bosses again. But recolored and with better stats. Just like the game already does?
d) Maybe I'm wrong here, but I don't remember being able to access her moves or magic from the game files by calling them in character spell lists (Sue using Dragon Cut is funny). Mind you, changing party compositions is not an easy thing to do since it also depends on environment triggers in save files... so it may literally be impossible to get her in the party from save file hacks... plus, your party is reset any time the game makes changes to your structure. And it does that a lot.

I don't know why you'd want her at that point.
Doesn't make sense.

Oh, and I hate DLC. It's an offense against people who buy games.
"Oh here's this game I've been waiting for! I'll buy it and finally be able to enjoy it!"
Fifty billion DLC packs come out at >$10 a pop. None of them have substantial content. The ones that almost do are priced much higher.
"I thought I was getting the whole game."

It's freaking disgusting.

In Reply:

The gameshark code constantly runs through the game preventing the charecter reset. (Dialog boxes are uneffected)

For example:

Party Modifer

SCEF10001 00FF??
so it becomes
SCEF10001 00FF22

11 = Justin/Sue
22 = Justin/Feena/Rapp/Liete

The Gameshark System saves its own data on its own slot and contiually runs the code
throughout the game until the console is reset. It doesn't modify the save but manipulates the games code whilst running.
Anyone who has used an Action Replay on Gameboy Color will know that some codes run right through the game until the device is disabled or until the game is reset, others are permanant and cannot be reveresed.

I once equipped Sue with the spirit sword, but all her moves were disabled. (using a gameshark code) (Yes on disk 1)
Thats' why I was saying MANUALLY hacking the save file seems to be the hard way around.
